Palm Trees 'n' Sunflowers

On Friday September 7th, 2007, We moved into number 14 bluebell close, Leekbrook!

This is a teeny tiny blog that will grow as big as the palm trees (with any luck)!

Here are a few pictures from September 07 to the present day to show how the garden was and has so far been transformed!

To begin with the garden was all soily and weedy and we had, and do have plans to change it to look like a lovely garden!!!

so this is how it looked before we moved in and the turf was laid!

Here is a picture of EJ in our lounge before we moved in! Empty room! gosh it seems ages since it looked that empty!

Here is the garden with turf after Phil had freshly laid it down, how lush does that look?!!!

and here with the visible reddish fence put up inbetween ourselves and number 12!

hey up! some bloke in blue overalls is hiding in amongst some wood!

oh its OK! It's granddad erecting our new shed! (bless him, he has mithered and been waiting to do this job for like ever!)

This is the sheds first proper appearance including some snow!

And this is the definite covering of our garden and shed!

The sunflowers have started off as a few seeds in a couple of pot noodle cups which EJ and myself planted over a week ago!

EJ had fun filling the pots and popping in some sunflower seeds, I didn't realise how many seeds she and I have actually planted until they have now grown to at least 10centimetres already [16th march '08] each and this is how they look now...

Wow! healthy little sunflowers and there are 7 in the far left pot and 3 in the nearer right
pot!

After a gardening exploration to Bridgemere on Saturday [15th March '08], we bought a colourful pot for our sunflowers and 2 rustic terracotta pots for our palm trees, a variation of colourful heather plants and a variation of colourful pansies.

here are our palm trees!

The patio paving stones have been chosen from DWR up the road from us, they will go where the terracotta pots are as seen in this photo with the palm trees.

I will keep posting pics as i can to show you how the garden has and will transform since September 2007 to the present day!
